What this quote means to me is that dare to stand alone when the people you're with are CTW. If you're with a crowd that CTW all the time you should stand alone. It’s better to be by yourself than with friends who CTW. Many people get into trouble just for wanting to follow their friends. They just want to fit in. They want to follow the trend. As soon as they get into trouble they regret it.
