Class Evaluation

Class Evaluation

  1. Some things I enjoyed about this class is that we get to work with computers. We also learn about them and improve on our typing.
  2. Some things I dont like is that we never move seats all year. We type a lot although good, its very boring to do it for an hour and a half.
  3. I would recommend moving seats more often or at least 2 or 3 times. I would also take a break from typing so people wouldn't get bored as easy.
  4. My highlight from this class is yet to be. So far I haven't had a highlight but there is still 6 months of school left.
  5. I did do my best in this class. Partly because it was easy and I wanted to have an A.
  6. No, I am not reading my journal everyday nor writing in it. I only do it when I meet in this class or when I have time to do it.
  7. I am not committed to being a CTR person because no one is perfect. Choosing the right 100% of the time is not possible and it would also drive me crazy.

Patrick Kearon's Scorpion Story

When Patrick Kearon was small his parents told him to wear shoes at all times. He disregarded that one day and went walking along the desert. He got stung by a scorpion on his walk. Patrick learned an important lesson to listen to his parents. Putting those shoes on wasn't just for show but for his safety too. This relates to me because mt mom says to put on sandals when stepping outside even for a little bit. Not too long ago I threw out the trash without sandals and got sick

Student Success Statement #29

"Always do right"

                                                                                                            -Mark Twain
What this quote means to me is to always choose the right. Not 50% of the time or 80% he says to do it 100% of the time. Choosing the right is an everyday thing. Whether its in school or at work. You always have to do and choose the right.

World War II

World War II
  1. September 1, 1939 – September 2, 1945
  2. World War 2 was fought between two groups of countries. On one side were the Axis Powers, including Germany, Italy and Japan. On the other side were the Allies. They included Britain, France, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, the Soviet Union, China and the United States of America.
Where it happened:
As the name suggested, events of World War II took place across the globe. Most of the combat action took place in Europe, East Asia, and islands in the Pacific Ocean, but others were seen in places as far away as Madagascar and the Aleutian Islands. Countries such as Poland, China, Russia, and Germany saw their territories directly involved in war and suffered terribly.
Important Events:
  • Sep 3rd, 1939. Invasion of Poland Marks Beginning of WWII.
  • Jul 1st, 1940. Battle of Britain.
  • Jun 22nd, 1941. Germany Invades USSR Opening Eastern Front.
  • Dec 7th, 1941. Japan Bombs Pearl Harbor and FDR Declares War.
  • Apr 9th, 1942. Bataan Death March and Japan takes Philippines.
Showing Honor and Respect:
  • Visit a wounded veteran at the hospital.
  • Offer your home repair skills to a veteran or military family.
  • Volunteer your financial, legal, or career expertise.

Help a veteran tell their story through a project such as the Veteran's History Project.

Student Success Statement #28

  1. Can people trust me to do the what's right?
  2. Am I committed to doing my very best?
  3. Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?

"If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail"

                                                                                   -Lou Holtz
What I think this quote means is that if you answered  yes to all these question then failing is something you wont do. These questions determine whether you'll be successful or a failure. The first question can help you if you are running to be president. If people trust you to do the right the more votes you get. If you are committed to doing your best you wont fail. Doing you're best is what allows you to never fail. If you treat people how you like to be treated no one will ever hold a grudge against you and you will overcome any obstacle

Challenges Teens Face Today

Challenges Teens Face Today
  • Self-Esteem and Body Image
  • Bullying
  • Depression
  • Drugs and Alcohol
  • Cyber Bullying
  • Peer Pressure

  1. One major challenge I have today is getting good grades in school. Straight A’s or B’s aren’t easy

I could do what I need to in class and start doing homework and all classwork.

Being a CTR student helps me by…

I can help other teens by talking with them and maybe helping them.

Reflection: The greatest need that teens have is support. Support helps people get through the problems that they have.
