What this quote means to me is that goodness is an investment that will never fail you. If you return a wallet you found or keys that won't ever fail you. Doing good deeds is always a good investment because it doesn't make you less happy and it makes someone else happy. Opening a door for other people is a good thing to do and it wont effect you.
