Duties and Responsibilities:
The work varies according to the size of the hospital department or private company. A hospital department usually has a number of medical illustrators and perhaps one member of staff (or more) who specialises in video filming and production.
Salary:Average salary for medical illustrators is $62,000 and can be up to $100,000.
Education:
Most medical illustrators have a Master's degree. There are currently three accredited programs in the United States and one in Canada, each accepting 20 or fewer students per year.
Demand:
About 46% of salaried illustrators supplement their income with freelance work.

Reflection:
I would not like to do this job because I don’t fully understand what they do. Their job seems boring and full of work. The pay is good but I would not like to be a medical illustrator.
